Vote! Vote! Vote!

Well folks, it’s that time again, time to vote for your favorite Phillies to help get them into the 2011 MLB All Star Game in Arizona.

There are numerous Phillies on the outside looking into the league’s All Star game at Chase Field. Such as, Chase Utley who is third among second basemen with 1,281,190 votes. He is behind Brandon Phillips with 1,754,872 votes and Milwaukee’s Rickie Weeks  who has 1,461,383 votes.

Another Phillie that needs help from the fans is Shortstop Jimmy Rollins who is just shy of a million votes with 999,537. He is also in third currently trailing Troy Tulowitzki who has 1,828,509 votes and in second place is New York Mets Jose Reyes with 1,241,553 votes.

And the Phillie who is leading their position in votes is third baseman Placido Polanco. He has a pretty healthy lead over Chipper Jones by about 700,000 votes.

Other position players that are also in sniffing distance of the mid-summer classic are first baseman Ryan Howard, fourth, and catcher Carlos Ruiz, fifth.

As far as pitchers go, well, Roy Hallday is almost a shoe-in year after year. Cole Hamels has also put together a strong campaign to put together his bid for his ticket to Arizona, and Ryan Madson has also put up solid numbers to at least be talked about to become an All Star.

Voting ends on June 30, now it is time for the Philadelphia faithful to, yet again, prove how the are some of the most loyal fans in sports.
